The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Isoko North Local Government Area Chapter, has congratulated the member representing Isoko South 2 Constituency, Hon. Ferguson Onwo on his emergence as Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly.
Onwo was announced House Leader to replace the late occupant Hon. Tim Owhefere who represented Isoko North Constituency until his demise on Jan. 27.
The party in a statement signed by the Chairman of the LGA Chapter, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, described Hon. Ferguson Onwo as a good legislator and reliable party man and urged him to use his new position to better the lots of Isoko people and Deltans in general.
He said that the new House Leader was stepping into a very big shoe and urged him to put in his best to be a good ambassador of the Isoko people as the late Majority Leader gave a good account of himself.
“On behalf of the LGA Executive, party leaders and the entire membership of our great party in Isoko North Local Government, I congratulate and rejoice with you on your appointment as Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly.
“You are stepping into a very big shoe and we have no doubt in your capacity to use your new office to better the lots of Isoko people and Deltans in general,” he stated.
In a related development, the Isoko North Chapter of the PDP has also congratulated Hon. Ovuakpoye Evivie on his swearing in today as member of the Delta State House of Assembly following his victory in the September 11, by-election in Isoko South Constituency 1.
The party wished Evivie well in his tenure, urging him not betray the confidence reposed in him by the Isoko South Constituency 1 electorate.
