From Femi Adesina came the mocking headline, “For Nigeria at 61, it’s lafiya dole, peace by force”. If the headline was a mockery, wait until you read the scornful content of a narrator who obviously has ran out of ideas on how to engage with a country in dilema of leadership.
At 61 the cries of blood of innocent gruesomely murdered is heard across the length and breadth of Nigeria, in demand for justice, their spirit has not ceased to hunt the inhabitants of the Villa, testified to by a former tenant of Adesina’s office and apartment, Dr Reuben Abati, though Adesina chose to live in denial of Abati’s testimony.
The curses of an invaded habitation by spirits clamouring for justice is read through Adesina’s lullaby at putting our sleepless president to sleep.
Coming up with a message on the 61 Independence day celebration of our dear country was difficult, this is so because of events of the weeks leading to the 61st independent anniversary celebration, one of which is the death of Obadiah Mailafia, who last year informed us of the intelligence he was privy to that from the last quarter of 2021 into 2022 bandits and terrorists whose sponsors list the Government Adesina speaks for, has, but will not release, will change tactics, and will begin elimination of targeted elites.
The embarrassing circumstances of medical service denial of this hero has hardly settled when Prof Akunyuli, the husband of her heroine, Dora Akunyuli he was shot and killed by unknown gun men few days after Prophet Mailafia who spoke of his nature of killing as the next agenda of the forces who don’t want us to have peace, in the words of Adesina, yet under the watch of this administration.
If the agenda of this administration is peace indeed by force, may I ask Adesina what was done with the intelligence reports provided by late Mailafia?
While the administration of Muhammadu Buhari MAY not be directly responsible for bloodletting, its failure at bringing perpetrators to book is of complicated spiritual consequences.
There is nothing new about murder. Even in the first family unit, the beginning of God’s vision for a peaceful world, the first inhumanity of man against man reared its ugly head within. Cain, a farmer in bitterness gruesomely murdered his brother an herder, and the innate passion to be one’s brother’s keeper was murdered with Abel. The order of peace was altered and the dynamics of peace redefined!
When I stumbled on the lazy scribbling by Femi Adesina, titled, For Nigeria At 61, It’s Lafiya Dole, Peace By Force. I was duty bound to set the records straight. Like the Buhari Believer and Villa’s Vicar that he is, several references were made to the Bible without accepting responsibility for the dynamics of peace in the order of the Bible in context of shedding of innocent blood.
The first murder made it clear that blood do cry, and until justice is served such cries will persist over the territory of its shedding, and it is the responsibility of government to end the cries, the crimes, its curses and their consequences!
The cries for blood over the territory called Nigeria predated this Administration. From 1960 there has been tragic occurrences of gruesome bloodletting. The civil war wasted innocent lives of an estimated 3 million children, and I bet, the President is proud of his role during that war, which he glamorized by his dot in the circle phrase, if we pardon the President knowing who he is.
It is however amazing that lessons has not been taken from the Bible by “forceful” peace preacher, our brother Femi Adesina, peace by force can only lead to that of the graveyard where all is laid to rest in peace!
Peace for the living is what we seek, this of course from the Bible, the chronicle from which he sought to counsel us can only be achieved through, bringing to book the culprit, dialoguing with the victims and serving justice. This was the approach of David when God brought to book the culprit Saul for whose killing of the Gibeonites famine was upon Israel!
This administration no doubt like David, inherited blood cries, its curses and consequences, but it must be stated that they have failed to act wisely by bringing perpetrators to book, victims they denied justice and survivors are left to live in continuous trauma while tax generated from citizens who live in fear are spent on rehabilitating assumed or adjudged repentant murderers!
The Vicar at the Villa should please open his Bible before his congregation and preach the message of national salvation to the President on independence day from:
Deut. 19:10 – 13 ()
- That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
- But if any man hates his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
- Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hands of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
- Thine eyes shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
Adesina was not celebrating like me or any other Nigerian, not even like the minister of defence who was seen recently cuddling an AK 47 while entering a bullet proof SUV, nothing captures our state of insecurities like the fear of the man whose portfolio is responsible for our defense. He wasn’t speaking like a privileged dweller of the most secured quarters, the Villa that was recently invaded by armed robbers who upturned the apartment of the Chief of Staff to the President in search of whatever.
The preacher of gloom in doom didn’t remember that Nigerian Defence Academy was invaded by armed robbers who killed and kidnapped at our Defence Academy.
Adesina spoke of some with giant size grudges against the polity, while being careless about how this grudges are grown. Does he expect the grudges of the Akunyuli orphans to be dwarfed in size, with a mother who lived and died for Nigeria and a father killed on the day she was honored and remembered by a mysterious creation of this administration called unknown gunmen!
Adesina, has a Nigerian passport, obviously with several visas on it, he might even have the privilege citizenship of a better country somewhere but chose to be like the pharisses in his prayers, he insulted Nigerians in diaspora who are sentenced by this administration and those consigned to live abroad by previous governments. He did not stop at that, he flaunts his privilege to travel the world at over 150 million Nigerians who can’t afford to own a Nigerian passport!
Adesina wants us to be glad against the reality of nursing grudges against APC, whose national leader is recuperating in UK accessing Medicare, and the President just returned from the same country on medical tourism. When Doctors are on strike, and a Deputy Governor of Central Bank was moved from hospital to hospital in Nigeria in search of care. Who eventually died in the process!
For Nigeria at 61, it is Mailafia, peace by making it and not by force!
