Insurgency: Coalition Congratulates Nigeria as NAF Acquires 38 New Aircrafts

The Coalition for A Better Nigeria has congratulated Nigeria as the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has acquired 38 new aircrafts to boost its capacity to fight insurgency and other criminal activities in the country.

The group rejoiced with the Spiritual Leader of Shafaudeen Islamic Organisation, Prof Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, JP, on the success of the Group’s annual and impactful International Convention Ishrat 2022 and Niyi Akintola who turned 62 as well as Muyiwa Ige on his 55th birthday anniversary.

In a statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade AWA Bamiji, and the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Asu Mfam, the Coalition also mourned the passage of Olufemi Adegoke, and Angela Folarin.

“The Nigerian Armed Forces (NAF) can now boast of 38 brand new aircraft with which it can tackle various security challenges bedeviling the Nation since inception of this democracy and upscale its pilots’ training”, the Coalition said.

According to the group, with the latest addition to the list is the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft which were recently inducted into the NAF order of Battle, according to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oludayo Amao, “the acquisitions and reactivation, as well as the emplacement of a robust logistics support structure, have enabled the NAF to raise the serviceability status from about 35 per cent in 2015 to about 72 per cent as of September 2021”, the quoted the Air Force Chief.

Air Marshal Oludayo Amao had also disclosed that 173 pilots have been trained in the last six years with additional 155 student pilots undergoing training.

Amao, however, said the Air Force has introduced 11 new doctrines to guide its operations.

According to him, the doctrines are based on analysis of the contemporary security environment as well as operational experiences, adding that competencies in the Air Force are now being guided by the doctrines.

He had assured Nigerians that the Air Force, in synergy with other security agencies, would continue to sustain its air operations against all criminal elements in the country to enable law-abiding citizens to carry out their legitimate duties without fear.

The Coalition said “We therefore, salute resilience of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, and congratulate him, the Nigerian Armed Forces (NAF) and in deed, the entire Nigeria on this giant stride of the Millenium and unanimously inform the enemies of the State that it is high Government spoke the language they understand for peace to be restored as soon as possible.

“We rejoice with the Spiritual Leader of Shafaudeen Islamic Organisation, Prof Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, JP, on the success of the Group’s annual and impactful International Convention Ishrat 2022, which came to a glorious end last Saturday at the Shafaudeen Headquarters in Wakajaiye, Iyana Church, Ibadan. We roll out the drums and blare the trumpets to say Many Happy Returns to the Oyo State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Chief Niyi Akintola, SAN, @ 62 as well as multi talented Son of late Chief Bola Ige, Arc Muyiwa Ige @ 55.

“We mourn Dr Olufemi Adegoke, the Chairman of the foremost Pan Yoruba Intelligentsia Group, Voice of Reason; and our beautiful, erudite and young Barrister Nwaka Angela, 48, wife of Senator Teslim Folarin.

“They have both made Nigeria proud in their respective areas of specialisation. May their souls rest in peace”, the statement concluded.
