The beautiful city of Accra would be playing host to dignitaries from more than 13 countries as the West Africa Young Leaders Summit/Award is set to be hosted at the ultra modern Mikado Event Center, Labone – Accra.
West Africa has the potential to become one of the world’s leading sub continents considering the rich mineral contents inherent in the countries that make it up. Nigeria, Ghana, Coted’voire, Gambia and many others boast of massive deposits of natural resources that can be used to effectively better the lives of its people.
Speaking on the planned event, Comrade Barry Ndu, the Convener of the West Africa Young Leaders Summit/Award noted that the sub-continent has the young people with the mental capacity and passion to move Africa forward.
He urged all well-meaning Africans to avail themselves of this lifetime opportunity to interact with great minds from different countries.
The youth advocate confirmed the presence of more than 10 West African resident Ambassadors in Ghana.
He expressed joy that young people are beginning to understand that they are no longer leaders of tomorrow but of today.
He promised a classic event that would also showcase the rich culture and food of the African people.
The event under the theme “Raising a new Generation of passionate young African leaders’ is meant to discuss pertinent issues that affect the continent, proffer solutions while also awarding those who are making a massive impact in their different fields of endeavour.
The event would be aired live on major Tv stations, the organisers said.
Hon. Teena Adams, a member of the planning committee, promised a unique event, urging members of the public to send in nominations of people they feel deserved to be honoured to the email: westafricayoungleaderssummit@gmail.com.
According to the organisers, nominations closes on Saturday 23rd July, 2022. Organizers call on companies and well meaning individuals to support them in ensuring a successful event.
This global event will be held on Friday 29th July at the Mikado Event Center, Labone Junction from 4pm prompt. Organisers said they look forward to hosting a memorable occasion.
