2023: Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Edo North Unveils Campaign Director General
The Edo North senatorial candidate of the Labour Party and the party’s National Youth Leader, Comrade (Engr) Eragbe Anslem has unveiled the director general for his campaign organisation, pledging free education and youth inclusion in government if he emerges victorious come February 2023.
The Edo State-born activist made this known at a strategic stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja recently where he named Professor Festus A Uwakhemen as the Director General for the party’s 2023 Edo North Senatorial Campaign Organisation.
Comrade Eragbe Anslem used the opportunity to share highlights of the campaign strategy, including funding and victory strategies for the Edo North Senatorial campaigns.
He explained that the free education will be qualitative and compulsory for the people of Edo North Senatorial District.
Comrade Eragbe cited how he led the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Research Institution in Nigeria (ASURI) under a partnership to secure Foreign Direct Investment Funding in the sum of a hundred and fifty billion Euro (€150 Billion Euro) for research institution funding as part of loan for the rejigging of the National Research and Economic Redirection of Nigeria for the next 30 years with marginal interest rates repayment and moratorium since 2021.
Giving detailed insight into the political configuration of Edo North Senatorial District, the Labour Party candidate noted the senatorial district is made up of seven Local Government Areas (LGAs), consisting of Akoko Edo, Etsako East, Etsako Central, Etsako West, Owan East, and Owan West.
He added that the Edo North Senatorial District has sixty four (64) political wards, with seven hundred and sixty (760) polling units.
On his strategy in line with his deployment schemes for the Labour Party national mobilization for the 2023 general elections, Comrade Eragbe stated that Nigeria has 176,846 polling units, 8,815 political wards, 774 LGAs, 36 States and the FCT, with six geopolitical zones consisting of the North East, North Central, North West,
(iv): South East, South-South, and the South West
While announcing Prof. Festus A. Uwakhemen as the Director General (DG) of the Comrade Eragbe Anslem 2023 Edo North Senatorial District Campaign Organisation, (#CEA2023-SDCO), the Labour Party senatorial candidate unveiled three out of his six Deputy Directors General (DDG) for the Edo-North Senatorial District Campaign Organization. They include the Deputy Director General for Etsako Central LGA, Chief Austin Aliu; the Deputy Director General for Etsako West LGA, Prince Mike Inaboya; and the Deputy Director General for Orwan East LGA, Comrade Omokhogie Jegede.
Comrade Eragbe Anslem also announced Comrade Uloko Kadiri as the Edo North Senatorial Leader.
As a critical stakeholder in the Labour Party and Edo North politics, Comrade Uloko Kadiri is to oversee the advisory board of the Edo North Senatorial Campaign Committee structure on behalf of Comrade Eragbe Anslem.
He said that the Deputy Directors General for Etsako East, Orwan West and Akoko Edo LGAs are to be announced during the Edo North Senatorial District Stakeholders Meeting in Auchi, Etsako West LGA.
Comrade Eragbe Anslem explained the rationale behind the choice of Abuja for his inaugural stakeholders meeting, saying that he has lived thirty two (32) years in Abuja.
He added that Abuja is his residence and home and as it is said, charity begins at home just as the recognition of reality is beginning of wisdom.
Comrade Eragbe then noted that the Edo North Senatorial District’s sons and daughters are critical stakeholders in the FCT, adding that the Senate project is their project and that of other Nigerians who are critical stakeholders and truly committed to the Obi-Datti 2023 presidential election.
He said that these Nigerians must be part and parcel of the entire package to mobilize their people across the one hundred and nine (109) Senatorial Districts, 774 LGAs, 36 states and the FCT ahead of the February 25, 2023, presidential election.
