The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Enugu State chapter has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the just concluded March 18 governorship election in the state, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the incumbent Governor, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the people of Enugu State on victory of the PDP candidate in the state.
According to a statement jointly signed by the State Chairman of the CNPP, Hon. Afam Ani and the State Secretary, Hon Aduaka Anthony A, the political parties said that “the myriad of issues that emanated from the election which would have created a dark cloud on the credibility of the election could not hold water due to the free, fair, credible and transparent nature of the election.
“Infact, Ndi Enugu spoke through the ballot box and at the end, the best and most qualified candidate won.
“This is worthy of our commendation.
We also wish to congratulate the incumbent Governor of Enugu state Rt (Hon) Dr Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi for organising and concluding a free fair and credible election which is adjudged the freest and fairest in the annals of the history of the state.
“We rejoice with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family, the incumbent Governor RT (Hon) Dr Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, the Governor Elect, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on this auspicious moments.
“We enjoin you to be magnanimous in victory and deliver the democracy dividend to the citizens of Enugu state as you promised in your manifesto,who trooped out to vote you enmasse which culminated in your victory at the polls”, state CNPP stated.
