The 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has elected a President of the Senate.

Senator Godswill Akpabio emerged the new President of the Senate after the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on Tuesday.

He trounced Senator Abdul’aziz Yari to emerge the new Senate President.
