A pressure group, Nigeria Female Youth Organization, has raised an alarm over the renewed falsehood and campaign of calumny against one of their gender, the Director General of the National Pension Commission, Mrs Aisha Dahir-Umar, over some imaginary financial impropriety, describing it as โoutrageous falsehood.โ
This is contained in a statement by the groupโs National President, Mimi Peter, in Abuja.
Mimi Peter described the allegations as attempts to discredit the commission because it is under the leadership of a woman.
“Stop distracting her, allow her to do her work. It is under the leadership of Dahir-Umar that pensioners no longer queue up or die on the road in order to get their entitlement.”
She added that the enemies are tarnishing the image of the DG, all in a bid for stomยญach infrastructure and gender bias.

The association wants to know โWhen has it become a crime to be a woman?โ as this is definitely a gang-up against an executive officer who happens to be a woman, who has done all her best to transform the commission and we will not take it lightly.
โWe emphatically state that โEnough is Enoughโ of these wild goose chase of humans tarnishing the image of our dear sister Mrs Aisha Dahir- Umar because they see her as a woman not minding the positive contributions she has brought to the commission
“We are looking for more women in leadership so we cannot play with the ones we already have.
โPenCom is doing great because it is under the leadership of a woman as such we won’t fold our hands and watch her been removed because of false allegation.โ
She threatened that the Nigeria Female Youth Organization will not stay silent โin the face of efforts to evade responsibility or to smear our sister, we will continue to raise our voices whenever and wherever we see injustice on our gender.โ
“We will mobilize woman and youth to protest at Pencom in solidarity to end the distraction of conflict entrepreneur in guise of CSOs”, she vowed.
