England’s female player, Lauren James has given an apology to Nigeria’s Super Bird of prey, Michelle Alozie over a stepping episode during the Monday match.
Lauren had procured herself a red card for trampling the rear of Alozie as she rose to her feet following an intense impact between them towards the finish of guideline time.
Responding, football darlings had censured Lauren for the occurrence, savaging and contrasting the demonstration with that of David Beckham in 1998 and Wayne Rooney in 2006, who represented England’s men group.
Ending her quietness, Lauren offered a conciliatory sentiment to Alozie by means of Twitter on Tuesday.
She remarked under a tweet made by Alozie, encouraging fans to quit savaging Lauren.
“All my love and respect to you. I am sorry for what happened. Also, for our England fans and team-mates, playing with you and for you is my greatest honour and I promise to learn from this experience.”
England crushed Nigeria 4-2 through a penalty shootout on Monday.
