Governor Oborevwori Swears-in, Inaugurates New Appointees, Makes Fresh Appointments

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Tuesday swore-in and inaugurated newly appointed Special Advisers and other appointees.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, ahead of the the event had listed the Special Advisers as Mr. Austin Ayemidejor, Mr. Sunny Jero and Mr. Emmanuel Osazuwa.

Also inaugurated were Sir Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje as Chairman, Delta State Bureau for Pensions; Mr. Ifeanyi Egwunyenga as Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, and Mr. Jude Oghenevwaire Emurotu as a member of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC.

Another appointee, Hon. Victor Okoh, was inaugurated as Chairman of the Board of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, while Mrs Kemeseifa Ebikefe, Chief Paul Ibeyon, Engr. Mike Ogeleka, Mr Marvis Erhie, Hon. Joe Adigwe and Mr Terry Okotoroh as members.

The board of the Agency for Adult and Non Formal Education, which was also inaugurated has Asiyai Patricia Ekiyor as Chairman while Chief Gabriel Nmor, Ugbome Joy Awele, Mrs Abitor Edirin and Mrs Rarute Mgbeke are members.

Also inaugurated the same day was the Delta State Arts Council which has Mr Pius Labo as Chairman, Mr Julius Biyibi, Mrs Ngozi Onarudu, Ugedi Ebi Edith, Oyibo Elohor Blessing and Mrs Martha Mekwuye as members.

The appointees were sworn-in at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.

Oborevwori Reconstitutes Governing Councils For State Institutions, Appoints Board Members For Two Agencies

Meanwhile, Governor Oborevwori has reconstituted the Governing Councils for the state institutions and appointed Board members for two agencies.

The Governor approved the reconstitution of the Governing Councils of the following State institutions:

Delta State University Abraka

Gen.Alexander Odeareduo Ogomudia (Rtd) – Chairman
Barr. Doris Ejinyere – Member
Rt Hon.Martins Okonta – Member
Hon Ben Igbakpa – Member
Sir Andrew Odum SAN – Member
Members with tenure still running:
Chief Peter Yerinde Biakpara
Prof. Usiwoma Evowoma-Enuku
Chief Surv. Terry Noah

Delta State Polytechnic Otefe-Oghara

Chief Oghene-aga Andrew Orugbo – Chairman
Mr Friday Omoko – Member
Mr Ighoyota Lucky – Member
Chief A.C Okocha – Member
Barr. Mrs Felicia Adowei-Ajagu – Member

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to State Government (SSG), Dr Kingsley Emu, their inauguration will be announced in due course.
