Delta State Governor Set to Unveil New Cabinet: Commissioners and Special Advisers to be Sworn-in on July 31
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, is set to preside over the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
The ceremony, scheduled to hold at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba at 10 am, marks a significant milestone in the Governor’s efforts to assemble a team to drive his administration’s agenda.
The Commissioner nominees, who were earlier screened by the Delta State House of Assembly, include Barr. Val Areyinka, Hon. Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor, Barr. Harry Thankgod Trakiriowei, Chief Ebikeme Clark, Hon. Sunday Tataobuzogwu, and Smart Ijeoma Ufoh.
Additionally, six individuals will be sworn-in as Special Advisers: Hon. George Oyefia, Mr. Johnbull Edema, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, Hon. Ramsey Tega Onoyake, Dr. Toyin Orighomisan Agbolayah, and Chief Onajite Brown.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, the appointees, family members, and invited guests are expected to be seated by 9:30 am.
The swearing-in ceremony promises to be a significant event in the state’s political calendar, as Governor Oborevwori unveils his team to drive development and progress in Delta State.
