Spread the love

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ordered an immediate investigation into allegations of bribery leveled against some of its officers by popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.

This move comes after a viral video surfaced, in which Bobrisky claimed that EFCC officers collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges.

In the video, powered by Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky alleged that unnamed EFCC officers demanded the hefty sum to dismiss the charges against him.

The EFCC’s Executive Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, swiftly responded by constituting a team of investigators to look into the allegations.

The commission has invited both Bobrisky and Otse to report to its Lagos Directorate to assist investigators in uncovering the truth behind the alleged bribery.

The EFCC reassures the public that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and the findings will be made public accordingly.

This development comes on the heels of Bobrisky’s recent conviction and sentencing to six months in jail without the option of a fine for naira abuse. He was released on August 5, 2024.
