NDE Rolls Out Mass Employment Programme In Oyo State

In line with the Spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu administrationl, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has concluded plans to engage 93,731 unskilled and unemployed persons across Nigeria.

Speaking on behalf of NDE Director General Silas Agara, ahead of the take-off of the exercise in Oyo State, the State Coordinator NDE Oyo State, Mrs. Steve-Ogundipe Olayinka explained that under the Renewed Hope Mass Employment Creation Initiative, the Directorate will provide vocational, agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training with complementing transient job opportunities in the public works sector using over 30 different skill sets.

This job creation initiative of the NDE he further said finds effective expression in six out of the eight priority areas of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The D.G assured that start-up capital, equipment and working tools would be provided for deserving participants at the end of the training while others will be linked to credit granting institutions to access loans to commence medium or large scale businesses.

The online and physical registration which commenced on October 21,2024 will last till the 31st December 2024.

Interested persons can log on to www.nderegistrationportal.ng1 to create an account and register online with a valid email address, Passport Photograph and National Identity Number (NIN) or alternatively, contact the NDE office in their state of residence for assistance to enroll into the programme.

Successful candidates will be contacted by the NDE office in their state of residence for deployment to training outlets and other necessary activities.
