The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has announced an extension to the application deadline for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service. This new deadline, now set for Monday, March 17th, 2025, is aimed at giving more eligible Nigerians the chance to apply and participate in the process.

This adjustment comes as a revision to the earlier advertisement published on Monday, January 27th, 2025, in The Sun, Daily Trust, and The Nation newspapers, as well as on the FCSC website at fedcivilservice.gov.ng. That initial notice had set the deadline as Monday, March 10th, 2025. However, with this update, potential candidates now have an additional week to submit their applications.

Reiterating the importance of this extension, Mr. Taiwo Hassan, the Head of Press & Public Relations for the Federal Civil Service Commission, stated, “We want to ensure that every qualified Nigerian has the opportunity to participate in this exercise. This extension is for all eligible candidates who are interested but might have been constrained by time to apply for vacancies in the Federal Civil Service.”

The updated announcement has been published across various platforms, including the FCSC website and in the March 10th, 2025, editions of The Sun and The Nation. It will also feature in the March 11th, 2025, issue of Daily Trust. This multi-channel dissemination highlights the Commission’s commitment to ensuring wide and equitable access to information.

We want all applicants to feel confident in the integrity of our selection process,” Hassan added.

The Federal Civil Service Commission’s vacancies present a crucial opportunity for skilled individuals to contribute to national development. With roles spanning various levels of responsibility and expertise, this extension provides added accessibility to deserving candidates.
