In a stirring Easter message delivered on Sunday, Hon. Stephen Abraham Ajiya, leading aspirant for the position of National Vice Chairman, North Central Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), called on party faithful to remain resilient and hopeful despite the indefinite postponement of the PDP North Central Congress.
Addressing leaders, members, and supporters across the region, Hon. Ajiya likened the current challenges to the biblical story of the resurrection, reminding the PDP family that just as Christ triumphed over adversity, so too will the North Central zone rise to a new dawn of leadership and progress.
“Our journey may have encountered an unexpected pause, but our mission remains unshaken,” Ajiya declared. “The God who raised Christ from the grave will, at the appointed time, raise for us a leader who will walk in His will, serve selflessly, and work tirelessly for the happiness and progress of our people.”
Acknowledging the disappointment brought by the congress delay, Hon. Ajiya urged party members to see this period as an opportunity for reflection, unity, and renewed commitment to service. He emphasized that personal ambitions must take a back seat to the collective good of the party and the North Central region.
“Let us be inspired by the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” he said. “As stakeholders in the future of our great party and region, we must dedicate ourselves to serving others, working selflessly, and building a legacy of love, unity, and progress.”
Reaffirming his dedication to the core ideals of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ajiya assured members that a vibrant, united, and prosperous North Central is within reach for those who stay focused, prayerful, and committed.
In closing, Hon. Ajiya offered prayers for the PDP, the North Central zone, and the nation at large, expressing firm belief that brighter days lie ahead for the party and its people.
