Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, on Monday commissioned the newly completed Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Annex Complex located in Gudu, Abuja.

The commissioning ceremony marked another milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and administrative coordination within the Nigerian Air Force. Nigerian Air Force Headquarters Annex in Gudu, Abuja

Dignitaries at the event included the Chief of Defence Staff, General C.G. Musa; Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar; Chairman, House Committee on Air Force, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum; and Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Air Force, Senator Austin Akobundu.

Also in attendance were senior officers of the Armed Forces, who joined the Minister in commending the leadership of the Nigerian Air Force for its commitment to infrastructure development and the welfare of personnel.I used to have real sympathy for Nigeria Police Force, understanding their many challenges. But this new tinted permit policy — and their insistence on enforcing it despite pending court cases — has destroyed that sympathy. It shows contempt for the rule of law and for citizens’ rights. It proves that the Force has learned nothing about accountability or public trust.
It's obvious that the policy isn’t about security; it’s about money making. If security were the goal, the police would focus on intelligence and reform, not roadside harassment.

The newly commissioned complex is expected to strengthen the administrative capacity of the Air Force and support its broader mandate of safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
