The African Independent Television (AIT) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing transparency and accountability in Nigeriaโs public finance sector through a strategic partnership with the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC).
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the FRC headquarters in Abuja, the Group Managing Director of AIT, Chief Marcel Anyalebechi, expressed the organizationโs readiness to collaborate with the Commission in promoting the principles and objectives of the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA) 2007.
Chief Anyalebechi commended the Commission for its steadfast role in fostering prudence and discipline in public financial management, emphasizing that AIT remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that strengthen good governance in the country.
โThe Commission has continued to play a pivotal role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public resources. AIT will continue to partner with the FRC to propagate these laudable efforts in line with the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007,โ he said.

In his response, the Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Mr. Victor Muruako, Esq., appreciated AIT for its balanced and consistent reportage on national issues, especially those promoting fiscal responsibility and good governance.
He commended the professionalism of AITโs teamโled by Nancy Illor, Amaechi Aniekwe, Chioma Okolie, Adebayo Bodrin, among othersโfor their comprehensive coverage of the Commissionโs activities, which has helped to raise public awareness about FRCโs mandate and impact.
Muruako reaffirmed the Commissionโs commitment to deepening collaboration with the media to enhance fiscal transparency, accountability, and responsibility across all tiers of government.
