As political momentum gathers ahead of the 2027 general elections, the search for credible and result-driven leadership in Jigawa State has intensified. At the center of growing public discourse is Distinguished Senator Mohammed Sabo Nakudu—a man whose blend of business success, legislative experience, and administrative competence places him in a strong position to lead the state into a new era of development.
Widely recognized as a seasoned industrialist, Senator Nakudu has spent over three decades building thriving businesses, contributing to job creation and economic growth. His reputation as a business tycoon underscores his capacity to manage resources, drive investment, and stimulate local industries—qualities that are increasingly seen as essential for modern governance.
Beyond the private sector, Nakudu’s political journey reflects consistency and commitment to public service. A member of the All Progressives Congress(APC) , he previously served as Senator representing Jigawa Central Senatorial District after two impactful terms in the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2015. Notably, his ambition to govern Jigawa dates back to 2003 when he contested under the platform of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) , demonstrating a long-standing desire to lead and serve the state.
His tenure in the National Assembly further solidified his reputation as a capable legislator. During the 9th Assembly, he chaired the Senate Committee on Downstream Petroleum Resources and led the Ad-hoc Committee on the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB), playing a decisive role in the successful passage of the historic reform in 2021—an achievement that continues to shape Nigeria’s energy sector.
In recognition of his contributions to national development, former President Muhammadu Buhari conferred on him the prestigious Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in 2022.
Growing calls from key stakeholders in Jigawa State are mounting, urging Senator Mohammed Sabo Nakudu to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. The appeal has garnered widespread backing from political observers, who see the move as a strategic game-changer capable of reshaping the state’s political landscape.
There is no doubt that Jigawa stands at a pivotal moment—one that demands experienced, visionary, and economically savvy leadership. Senator Nakudu’s rare combination of business acumen, legislative depth, and grassroots connection positions him as a compelling candidate to answer this call.
This is, therefore, a timely and patriotic appeal to Distinguished Senator Mohammed Sabo Nakudu to step forward once again—this time under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)—and offer himself for the governorship of Jigawa State. With his proven track record, many believe he holds the promise of purposeful leadership and sustainable development.
As 2027 approaches, the people of Jigawa will be looking beyond rhetoric to competence, credibility, and capacity. In Senator Nakudu, they may well find a leader ready to deliver all three.
