ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA — The International Joint Steering Committee of the Future Africa Trade & Investment Expo (FATI EXPO) 2026 has paid an official courtesy visit to the Deputy Minister responsible for the Blue Economy in Zanzibar as part of strategic engagements ahead of the international trade and investment exhibition.
The high-level meeting focused on strengthening institutional collaboration between FATI EXPO 2026 and relevant authorities in Zanzibar, with particular emphasis on the Blue Economy, investment opportunities, trade promotion and sustainable economic development.
The engagement also provided an opportunity for the FATI EXPO delegation to explore areas of mutual interest and deepen Zanzibar’s participation in the forthcoming Expo, which is expected to bring together government representatives, investors, business leaders, development partners, diplomats, women entrepreneurs and young innovators from across Africa and beyond.
The Steering Committee highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in unlocking Africa’s vast economic potential, particularly in sectors capable of creating jobs, attracting investment and supporting sustainable development.
The courtesy visit is part of a series of international engagements by the FATI EXPO 2026 leadership aimed at building partnerships and securing broad institutional participation ahead of the Expo.
FATI EXPO 2026 is positioned as a platform for connecting African businesses, governments and investors while promoting trade, investment, tourism, entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships across the continent.
The organisers said the Expo would continue to pursue engagements with governments, private-sector stakeholders and international partners as preparations intensify.
