Anyaso announced car gift on Sunday during 2026 Harvest Thanksgiving celebration of Methodist Church, Diocese of Item, held at Methodist Church, Okoko Item, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

“We Are Not Fixing A Car; We Are Changing Your Car” — Ofuji

The announcement came after he learned that cleric’s existing vehicle had been grounded for months due to mechanical problems.
“We are not fixing a car; we are changing your car,” Anyaso declared, to loud cheers from congregation.

Abia Is Cheapest State To Live In, Not Most Expensive — Ofuji Counters PDP Candidate

Speaking at event, Anyaso also countered claims by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Abia, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, that Abia is most expensive state to live in, insisting that state has become more affordable under Governor Alex Otti’s administration.

According to him, Abia has moved beyond its previous challenges and will not return to what he described as state’s bad past inflicted by PDP.
“Abians have moved on, and our song has changed under Labour Party administration of Governor Alex Otti,” he said.

“Abia is not the most expensive state to live in. Abia State is the cheapest state to live in,” he declared.
He said his remarks were in defence of state government’s performance and its people-oriented approach to governance.

“When God Does Great Things” — Bishop Nkulo Preaches Hope

Earlier in his sermon titled “When God Does Great Things” taken from Psalm 126:3, Bishop Nkulo encouraged congregation to maintain faith and hope despite difficult circumstances, drawing lessons from experiences of Israelites during their exile in Babylon.

He noted that just as Israelites could look back and celebrate God’s restoration, believers should remain confident that difficult seasons would not last forever.
“No matter how difficult it is, if the Israelites could say, ‘We were like them that dreamt,’ then for us, we will soon shout, ‘It is like a dream,'” the Bishop said.

“If you can recall one thing or the other the Lord has done for you, then declare it with your own mouth: ‘The Lord has done great things for me,'” he stated, emphasizing that Almighty God remains ultimate source of all blessings.
The Member representing Bende North State Constituency, Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe, alongside other dignitaries, joined Methodist Church for Harvest Thanksgiving service.
