- Hails Governor Okowa’s Youth Empowerment Initiative
The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, has called on youth leaders to be proactive and be people orientated in their leadership, always carrying their followers along in peace and harmony.
The Deputy Speaker gave the charge over the weekend, when he supervised the disbursement of Operation Feed Your Nation funds for community Youth leaders in Asaba over the weekend. He applauded governor Okowa for having good thoughts for the youths of Delta State, through various means and strategies. The Deputy Speaker, noted that the intent and purpose of Operation Feed Your Neighbor was to bring succor go the less privileged in our localities and to empower our youths to some level to check social vices and pipe line vandalism.
The Deputy Speaker further called on the Youths to judiciously use the money which is aimed at ameliorating financial challenges.
“The funds released to you is a way to cushion financial challenges, whose absence might breed social vices. I therefore employ you to put to judicious use of the stipend and please ensure it trickles down to the people. Leadership goes with sacrifice and love, so me must practice democracy and love in all our doings”, the Deputy Speaker and Empowerment master said.
He further charged youths all over the state to always think positive and be supportive of government’s initiate to enhance the smooth delivery of governor Okowa’s SMART agenda.
On behalf of the youth leaders, Senior Comr. Anslem Nzete ( HRH, Igwe Dubai) , thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his fatherly love for the Delta youth and also thanked the Deputy Speaker for his empowerment philosophy and unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and demonstration of rear leadership quality in monitoring the smooth delivery of dividends to youths and to his people.
