#COVID19 Testing Centre: Senator Ekwunife Commends Obi, Anambra PDP for Efforts

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife has commended the initiative of the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi and the People’s Democratic Party, Anambra State chapter to build a testing centre in the State.
In a statement on Monday, the Senator lauded the People’s Democratic Party for offering to build a Covid-19 testing centre in Anambra State in order to assist the State in containing the spread of the virus.
Ekwunife equally appreciated the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) for the accreditation of Accunalysis Diagnostic Center Nnewi as the first Covid-19 testing centre in the State. She noted that all hands must be on deck to ensure that Anambra State is well positioned to battle the dreaded disease.
The Senator avered that, with the cooperation of the people of Anambra State irrespective of political leanings, the State can overcome the dangers posed by the pandemic.
Senator Ekwunife noted that the increase in the number of confirmed cases of the disease in the State is a call on all citizens of the State to remain vigilant as well as maintain discipline in the fight against the virus. She advised citizens of the State to stay safe wherever they are, and avoid unnecessary travelling during this period.
While commending Ndi Anambra for their determination in fighting this common enemy called Covid-19, Ekwunife reiterated the need for the people to continue to take the necessary precautionary measures put in place by both the Federal and State Governments in ensuring that the spread of this contagious disease is contained.
Finally, the Senator wished the good people of Anambra State God’s protection during this trying moment. She prayed that God in his infinite mercies brings a permanent solution to the Covid-19 disease which is currently ravaging many countries around the world.
