More Accolades As Central Primary School Okpuno Solar Powered Borehole Facilitated by Senator Ekwunife Becomes Operational
The Solar Powered Borehole at Central Primary School Okpuno which was flagged-off on the 6th of November, 2020 has been completed and it’s now operational!
Today, December 8, 2020, the Anambra Central Zonal Project Monitoring committee led by the former commissioner for Women Affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata visited Okpuno community in Awka South LGA to commission the Borehole Project located at the School.
Receiving the project team were the President General of Okpuno, Comrade Ignatus Okoye ably represented by Hon Rufus Kachi, the Headmistress of the School, Mrs Onwudiofu Patience represented by her assistant, Mrs Maria Ezenwokike, the PDP Chairman Okpuno Ward, Matthew Onwumelu and others.
In his speech, Hon Rufus Kachi who represented the President General hailed Senator Ekwunife for bringing her promises during the last election into reality. He urged her to remain steadfast in offering Ndi Anambra Central quality and effective representation and assured her of the support of the people of the community.
In her remark, the Assistant Headmistress of the School, Mrs Maria Ezenwokike expressed gratitude to the Senator for addressing one of the important needs of the school which had been access to pipeborne water. She praised Senator Ekwunife for her giant strides in the National Assembly, and prayed God bless her for all her good works.
Coveying the Senator’s message of gratitude to the people of the community, the leader of the project team, Lady Henrietta Agbata thanked the people of the community for their unflinching support for the Senator. She assured them of Senator Ekwunife’s commitment to attract more developmental projects to the community, and urged them to put her in their prayers.
Also in the delegation were the Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former General Manager Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, the Former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, the Project Manager Anambra Central Liaison Office, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko, Awka South Coordinator SUECO, Onyi Nwokeke and Others.
