Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has described the President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan as a true progressive, democrat and patriot who has brought to bear his academic and political acumen in the discharge of his duties to the admiration of all well meaning Nigerians.

In a goodwill message to celebrate the Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, the Senate President on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary today, the Governor said,” Mr. Senate President, we in Gombe State, the Northeast and indeed Nigerians as a whole are proud of your pragmatic leadership in the National Assembly which has helped greatly in stabilising the polity, deepening democracy and building the nation”.

“As your family, friends and well wishers join you to mark your 62nd birthday, we wish you Allah’s guidance, protection and more blessings as you continue to preside over the apex legislative body and help to build a united senate and enduring legislature that will be the pride of Africa”.
