Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state earlier in the week received in audience the newly appointed Nigerian Ambassador to Senegal, His Excellency, Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa.
The envoy was on a thank you visit to the Governor over his untiring support and guidance as a brother and leader.
Govenor Yahaya charged the ambassador to use his good office and explore more areas of positive collaboration between Nigeria in general and Gombe State in particular with the Republic of Senegal.
He expressed the belief that as a thorough-bred diplomat and international relations expert, Ambassador Lamuwa has all it takes to deliver on the assignment.
A carreer diplomat, Amb. Adamu Lamuwa who hails from Funakaye Local Government, was until his recent appointment by president Muhammadu Buhari, the Charge d’Affaires, en titre Embassy of Nigeria in Damascus, Syria.
The Nigerian Ambassador to Senegal was accompanied on the visit by friends and family members.
