Katsina State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, has played host to the International Fund for Agricultural Development Project (IFAD PROJECT) country Representative on a courtesy visit to his office.
The visit was to assess the performance of the six years Project in Katsina State and also to review the partnership between the IFAD, Federal, State and Local Governments.
Receiving the delegation led by the country Representative, Samuel Eremite, the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said the project has brought a lot of development and awareness on climate change adaptation especially at the rural areas.
Yakubu therefore assured of the Katsina State Government commitments towards sustaining the partnership for more development.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation who is also the Country Representative of the Project, Samuel Eremite, said Katsina State is among the seven Northern State running the Project.
He maintained that the visit was to ensure that the Project achieved some of the major aspects of implementation for the benefit of people in the State.
