Children’s Day: Governor Inuwa Vows To Provide Adequate Care,  Opportunities For Children To Realize Their Full Potentials

As Gombe State Children join their counterparts the world over to celebrate Children’s Day, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has reiterated his administration’s commitment to continually prioritise the wellbeing of  children for a secure and brighter future in order to guarantee a prosperous society. 

Making reference to this year’s theme of the International Children’s Day  celebration, “Strengthening Supporting Systems for the Protection of the Nigerian Child: A Wake Up Call”, Governor Inuwa emphasised that his administration will provide adequate care and opportunities for children to realise their full potentials.

He said his government will continue to strengthen measures that will revamp the education sector in the state by ensuring that out-of-school children and those of school age, especially girls enjoy basic and sound education, considering their place and importance in the attainment of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).’

Governor Inuwa called on parents, community leaders, teachers and all involved in children’s upbringing to take mentoring seriously and provide them with a good leadership example.

While describing children as the hope and essence of the state and nation, the Governor vowed to provide opportunities for them to contribute to societal development, even as he expressed resolve to tackle incidents of children abuse.
