HRM Eze-Igwe Ezugwu Felicitates Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at 60

A traditional ruler in the South East region, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Eze-Igwe Willy Ezugwu, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, as he celebrates his 60th birthday.

The monarch, in his birthday massage described the former Governor as the “people’s Governor who elevated good governance narrative in Enugu State before leaving office.

According the traditional ruler, who doubles as the Eze Ogbozarra III of Opi Ancient Kingdom and Igwe of Ibagwa Opi Autonomous Community, “Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, while in office, was known for treating all parts of the state equally throughout his eight years tenure.”

In his message, he added, “Though, somehow, you were misunderstood, particularly in your choice of his successor, but, today, we can all testify that his preferred candidate for his party is not disappointing the people and has not betrayed the trust the former Governor reposed in him as evident in the last few months of his administration.”

The Monarch prayed for the immediate past Governor, saying, “as a man of peace, a good in all ramifications, that you are, may your Diamond Jubilee take you to higher place.

“The peace and goodness, which you left behind on May 29, 2023, are bearing fruits for good people of Enugu State.

“We are thankful to God that the Enugu State you left in the hands of God is still enjoying the grace of God despite the current challenges in the country in general, and our state in particular.

“May God bless your new age more abundantly with long life and prosperity through Christ our Lord, Amen”, the Monarch prayed.
