The Oyo State Government has raised an alert for heightened vigilance and proactive measures against a possible cholera outbreak.

Health Commissioner Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi emphasized the urgency during her visit to an Ibadan hospital treating two individuals with suspected cholera.

Cholera, a bacterial disease spread through contaminated food or water, can lead to severe dehydration and even death if untreated. The patients, construction workers from Lagos, are under close observation.
