Obi Cheers on Chef Grace as She Breaks Guinness World Record for Longest Home Kitchen Cooking Marathon
Former Governor of Anambra State and Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate in 2023, Mr. Peter Obi, showed his support for culinary excellence today as he cheered on Chef Grace Nwaokobia during her remarkable achievement. Chef Grace made Nigeria proud by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon by an individual.
In a series of tweets from his official handle, Mr. Obi expressed his commitment to encouraging young people in entrepreneurship and expertise. He stated, “I showed up this morning to cheer on Chef Grace Nwaokobia (@chefgraceggk) as she made us proud by breaking the Guinness World Record. The old record stood at 68 hours and 30 minutes, but by the time I arrived at about 6:40 am, she had already extended it to an impressive 86 hours and counting.”
What makes Chef Grace’s achievement even more remarkable is her dedication to charity. The food she cooked during the marathon largely went to The Little Saints Orphanage in Ilupeju. Mr. Obi emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment in Nigeria that empowers young people, unlocking their entrepreneurial potential. He believes that by doing so, a new Nigeria—one of possibilities—can emerge.
Chef Grace Nwaokobia’s feat exemplifies resilience, skill, and a commitment to making a positive impact. As Nigerians celebrate her achievement, Mr. Peter Obi’s words echo the sentiment: “Let’s build a new Nigeria—one that harnesses the talents and aspirations of our youth.”
