The South East Traditional Rulers Council, led by HRM Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (OGADAGIDI), Igwe of Edem Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom, Nsukka Local Government Area (LGA) of Enugu State, has expressed profound gratitude for the successful passage of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) Bill and its signing into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This milestone, the council said, marks a significant leap towards the development and prosperity of the South East region.
In a statement released by HRM Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, the Council commended President Tinubu for signing the Bill into law, demonstrating his commitment to fostering regional growth and integration.
The Council also thanked Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mba, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, for his unwavering support and advocacy for the bill.
The Council extended special appreciation to Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, for his leadership in summoning support for the SEDC establishment Bill on the floor of the House.
The Council recognized and appreciated the efforts of all other eminent lawmakers and well-meaning Nigerians who rallied behind this transformative legislation.
