The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has taken a significant step toward enhancing operational efficiency and accountability with its recent rollout of training on the Electronic Documents Management System (EDMS).
According to a statement signed by Attari M. Hope, Head of Communication and Public Relations, the one-day sensitization session, held on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, targeted selected staff as part of a pilot program, with plans to expand the training across the agency.
Dr. Binta Musa Ibrahim, Head of Planning, Research, and Statistics at NSIPA, emphasized the importance of the initiative during her opening remarks.
She described the EDMS as a vital tool for modernizing documentation processes, stating, “Harnessing the power of technology is imperative as we continue to strive for excellence in our service delivery.”
The EDMS is designed to centralize document management, reduce paperwork, improve collaboration, and enhance overall productivity. Dr. Binta underscored its benefits, urging participants to engage actively and utilize the system effectively for its successful adoption and sustainability.
Facilitators guided attendees through the system’s functionalities, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to optimize its use.
Dr. Binta encouraged interactive participation, stating that the attendees’ dedication to mastering the EDMS is crucial to the agency’s broader goals.
Dr. Binta expressed her gratitude to Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal, PhD, National Coordinator and CEO of NSIPA, for his leadership in approving the training. She praised his recognition of EDMS as a transformative tool for improving service delivery.
The initiative marks a forward-thinking approach by NSIPA as it continues to leverage technology for operational excellence.
