As Muslims across Nigeria mark the sacred festival of Eid al-Adha, Chief Peter Ameh, former National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians, calling for unity, compassion, and renewed commitment to national development.
In his Eid message, Chief Ameh underscored the spiritual and moral lessons of Eid al-Adha, describing it as a moment for deep reflection and a renewed dedication to service, selflessness, and care for others—especially the vulnerable and less privileged in society.
“This season reminds us of the value of sacrifice and the importance of standing together in unity, peace, and mutual respect,” Ameh stated, urging citizens of all faiths to show love and kindness beyond religious boundaries.
He called on Nigerians to offer fervent prayers for peace, unity, and progress, asserting that these elements form the bedrock of a stable and prosperous nation. Acknowledging the harsh economic realities faced by many, Ameh encouraged resilience and optimism among the populace.
Despite current challenges, he expressed hope for a brighter future, noting that “with sustained collective effort and committed leadership focused on the welfare of the people, Nigeria will achieve lasting prosperity.”
Chief Ameh’s message comes at a time of socio-economic uncertainty in the country, serving as a reminder of the enduring strength found in national solidarity and the shared values of compassion and sacrifice.
