The Kogi State Government House Press Crew has felicitated with the Auditor-General for Local Government in the state, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose commitment to accountability, transparency and effective service delivery remains exemplary.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairman of the Kogi State Government House Press Crew, Abah Benjamin Eneojoh, the group commended Adabenege for his contributions to strengthening financial accountability and promoting responsible governance across the state’s local government system.
The Press Crew particularly acknowledged the Auditor-General’s commitment to the welfare of its members, as well as his timely support for its programmes and events.
According to the group, Adabenege’s leadership has brought renewed attention to the importance of accountability and transparency in local government administration, while his commitment to staff development and capacity building has further enhanced the effectiveness of his office.
The statement reads in part: “On behalf of the entire Kogi State Government House Press Crew, we warmly congratulate Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka on the occasion of his birthday. We celebrate not only his attainment of another year, but also his contributions to public service and the strengthening of accountability at the grassroots.”
The Press Crew described the celebrant as a meticulous and conscientious public servant who has continued to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, integrity and a strong sense of duty.
It noted that his efforts in ensuring proper scrutiny of financial activities and the prompt presentation of audit reports have contributed to the broader objective of promoting transparency and responsible governance in Kogi State.
The group also commended Adabenege for maintaining a cordial relationship with the media and recognising the important role of journalists in promoting transparency, public enlightenment and good governance.
While celebrating his achievements and contributions to the state, the Press Crew prayed Almighty God to grant the Auditor-General renewed strength, sound health, greater wisdom and divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities.
