A member of the Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group in Delta State, Moses Odibo, has declared that Senator Sandy Onor is not the presidential candidate of what he described as genuine faithfuls of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alleging that the former senator is aligned with the faction loyal to Nyesom Wike and supporting the reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Odibo, in a statement reacting to recent political developments within the PDP, said it had become evident that some individuals in the opposition party were no longer committed to the collective interests, unity, and future of the PDP.
He urged party faithfuls across the country to disregard any claim linking Senator Onor to the position or aspirations of genuine PDP stakeholders seeking a credible political direction ahead of future elections.
According to him, Senator Onor does not represent the collective interest of party members committed to rebuilding and repositioning the PDP as a viable opposition force in Nigeria.
“Sandy Onor is not our presidential candidate. He is a member of the Wike faction working for the reelection of Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Odibo stated.
The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group member further maintained that the emerging alliance between the African Democratic Congress (APM) and genuine PDP stakeholders remains the most credible political platform to reset Nigeria and provide purposeful leadership for the country.
“The APM and PDP alliance is the best option to reset Nigeria and rescue the country from failed leadership and political manipulation. Nigerians deserve a government that truly represents the people,” he added.
Odibo also called on PDP supporters and political reform advocates nationwide to remain steadfast and committed to the movement for unity, political reform, and national development.
He stressed that Nigerians were yearning for transparent leadership and a political structure capable of addressing the country’s economic and governance challenges while restoring public confidence in democratic institutions.
