ABUJA – The Nigeria Policy Group has described Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari as a statesman whose leadership philosophy is firmly anchored on national unity, stability, and the collective progress of the country.
In a statement issued on behalf of the group by Abba Yusuf, the group said the former Governor of Zamfara State has consistently demonstrated a commitment to placing Nigeria’s national interest above sectional and personal considerations throughout his years in public service.
The group noted that Yari’s political career, both as governor and now as Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, reflects a deep belief in peaceful coexistence, inclusive governance, and national cohesion.
According to the statement, the lawmaker remains convinced that Nigeria’s diversity is a source of strength and that every region, ethnic group, and religious community has a significant role to play in building a more prosperous and united nation.
“Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari has continued to distinguish himself as a leader whose political philosophy is rooted in the unity, stability, and progress of Nigeria,” the statement read.
The Nigeria Policy Group further stated that at a time when the country is in search of leaders capable of promoting dialogue and national consensus, Yari has continued to advocate policies aimed at driving economic growth, improving security, creating opportunities for young people, and strengthening democratic institutions.
The group said his approach to leadership is guided by the conviction that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared sense of national purpose.
It added that Yari’s commitment to justice, fairness, and national integration has earned him respect across political and regional lines, with many of his supporters describing him as a bridge-builder dedicated to responsible leadership and the welfare of Nigerians.
The statement further maintained that the former governor remains optimistic about Nigeria’s future and believes that national unity remains indispensable to achieving peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
“As the nation looks ahead, Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari remains steadfast in his belief that a united Nigeria is not only possible but essential for achieving peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for generations to come,” the group stated.
The Nigeria Policy Group said the senator’s continued advocacy for unity and inclusive governance underscores the need for leaders who can rise above divisions and work collectively towards building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
