For LEXZY, music is more than a profession. It is an experience he describes as almost impossible to walk away from.
His passion for music began early, inspired by established Nigerian artistes and his growing understanding of musical instruments. A multi-instrumentalist, LEXZY plays both the drums and keyboard, skills that have become important elements of his approach to songwriting and production.
“I enjoy making music, especially when recording. I don’t want it to end; I just want to keep on recording,” he says.
Over the years, artistes such as Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy have influenced his musical journey. Rather than simply reproducing their styles, however, LEXZY has drawn from their creativity while developing a sound of his own.
From Smooth Melodies To Dance-Floor Energy
One of LEXZY’s greatest strengths is his versatility.

REBIRTH: The Project Putting LEXZY On The Map
Among the defining moments of LEXZY’s emerging career is the release of his REBIRTH EP in November 2025.
The four-track project, built around Afro House and electronic influences, represents an important chapter in his musical evolution. For LEXZY, however, the significance of REBIRTH goes beyond its release.
“REBIRTH the EP is so special to me because that EP is timeless. That EP has gone all over the world, which makes me happy and gingered to do more,” he says.
The project followed his May 2025 single, “Tonight,” further demonstrating his interest in creating records capable of crossing musical and geographical boundaries.
Sharing The Stage With Reekado Banks
Another memorable milestone came when LEXZY performed at a live show featuring Nigerian star Reekado Banks at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The experience offered the emerging artiste an opportunity to perform before a wider audience while sharing the stage with an established name in the Nigerian music industry.
For an artiste still building his career, such moments provide both exposure and valuable experience as he continues to refine his craft.
Looking Beyond Nigeria
LEXZY’s ambitions extend beyond establishing himself locally. His vision is increasingly global, with the response to REBIRTH giving him additional motivation to pursue bigger opportunities.
One of his major aspirations is to collaborate with leading Nigerian artistes, including Davido, whom he identifies as one of the artists he would love to work with.

With new music expected before the end of the year, the Abuja-based artiste is spending considerable time in the studio developing fresh material.
