BREAKING: Police Arrest Two Roots TV Journalists While Covering #NorthIsBleeding Protest In Abuja

Armed policemen have arrested two journalists from Roots TV,  Precious Uzoanya (reporter)
and Tosin Busayo (Cameraman) while covering #NorthIsBleeding protests under the Area 1 bridge, Abuja.

The journalists were arrested alongside two protesters and were taken to the FCT Police Command located in Garki area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Journalists in Nigeria have been under all manner of threats from security agencies, particularly the police.

At the time of this report, efforts are ongoing to free the journalists.

An investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo, who recently reported a story bothering on suspected fraud in the police was arrested on orders from the Force Headquarters Abuja.
