Boko Haram has set a terrifying new precedent by releasing its first gruesome video of a beheading since it pledged allegiance to ISIS .
The video adopts many of the same style-points as the hundreds of barbaric videos released by ISIS over the last year.
The ‘west Africa’ insignia in the top-left corner suggests the terror group has set up a new so-called media wing in the country.
In March of this year Boko Haram pledged allegiance to ISIS (also known as Islamic State) and announced it would adopt the name “Islamic State’s West Africa Province”. An audio statement was released on the former’s social media channels, said to be the voice of the group’s leader Abubakar Shekau.
TheStreetReporters.com recalls that 500 people have been killed in Nigeria in the last one month of President Muhammadu Buhari administration as part of a renewed efforts to intensify violence against innocent residents by the Boko Haram militants.
It has been claimed that the increased bloodshed has been due to an Isis directive to the fighters to intensify violence during the holy month of Ramadan.
