Former President Goodluck Jonathan was said to have met with  President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday night.

The reason for the meeting was not officially announced and it was held without media attention.

TheStreetReporters gathered that the meeting was held inside the President’s official residence at the Aso Rock Villa.

Details of the top agenda for the discussion are still scanty at the time of this report. However, it was gathered that the discussion centered on war against Boko Haram and the ongoing attempt by the Buhari administration to recover alleged funds looted by past political office holders.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, was not briefed and had no idea of what the duo discussed.

But a top Presidency official said that what transpired was not for public consumption.

Sources disclosed that Jonathan complained about moves by the Buhari administration to “rubbish” him he, saying he was hearing some of the allegations against his government, especially financial sleaze, against his administration for the first time.

It was said that the former President made it clear that he had nothing to do with any of the alleged corrupt practices.

“He said whatever steps or actions the President intends to take; it should be within the framework of the peace accord the two leaders signed.

“He also pledged to cooperate with Buhari as much as possible on all steps he is going to take”, a source disclosed.

“The President reassured Jonathan that he has no personal agenda against him. But he insisted that whatever was stolen from the treasury must be returned,” the source said.

weapons  to his administration.

It was gathered  that  Buhari  invited Jonathan  to getinsight
into  the  ways to stabilise  the  new administration,  especially  in
