Buhari Sacks AMCON Management, Appoints Replacement

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday dissolved the Executive Management Team of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), appointing Ahmed Lawan Kuru as it’s Managing Director.
Kuru was the Group Managing Director of Enterprise Bank Limited, until his appointment.
He started his banking career with the old Habib Bank in 1985 and rose through the ranks to become an Executive Director of Bank PHB which was renamed Keystone Bank in 2005.
Buhari also appointed three new Executive
Directors for AMCON.
They are Kola Ayeye, Eberechukwu
Uneze, and Aminu Ismail.
All appointments are effective immediately.
