The former Executive Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, has called on the police authority to investigate an attack on him during his condolence visit to Late Adeniji-Adele home on last Friday.

Comrade Adewale equally called on the APC leadership in the state to investigate the assault on him, and his security detail, which led to vandalization of car.

Adewale alleged that the attack which was carried out by a group of hoodlum known as Community Policing Youth Vanguard, was orchestrated by the chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, in the local government, Alhaji Waheed Gbadegeshi  Adewuni.

Speaking on the attack the former council’s Chief Ekxecutive said: “the attack carried out against me was led by Alhaji Waheed Gbadegeshi  Adewuni, the APC party chairman of Amuwo Odofin LG and Emmanuel Uba a.k.a Onwa and some hoodlums known as Community Policing Youth Vanguard created by ACP Dan Okoro former Area E commander of the Nigerian Police now transferred to Akure in Ondo State. on May 6, 2016 at 11:20am

“On getting the information about the death of Prince Ademola Adeniji Adele, members of my family met and decided that my father and mother should lead a team to commiserate with the Adele’s family.

“My father went and on getting to Adele family house, he was attacked by Prince Adelani Adeniji Adele, who shouted at him that he should leave their house. This was happening when my wife walked out of the house and confronted Prince Adelani telling him not to destroy her marriage or insult her father-in-law. She was joined by Dr. Adeniji Adele, the first born of Oba Adeniji-Adele, who came out to beg my father, and appealed to him to come in and meet other members of the family.

“On that very day, Saltan Adegbayibi Adeniji-Adele, had said that he will lead boys to attack me any time I come to visit the family house or at the funeral.

“Though, I had concluded not to visit the place anymore not untill Chief Demola Seriki called me from Texas to greet my wife and also begged that I should visit the Adele family because of posterity. I replied that it will be difficult for me having gotten information of what they had planned. He insisted that i should go but I told him that I will think about it.

“At about 10am, I got a telephone call from Chief Ajayi Bembe, a white cap Chief in Lagos, that he was at the Adele’s residence, and that i should come over. I replied that I have great respect for him but I was sorry because I had gotten information of a plan to attack me. So I refused. He then came to my house with my wife begging me to follow him. He was with me for more than one hour.

“So, I decided to follow him because I do not want to be seen as a difficult person. On our arrival at the Adele family house, after I had gotten down from my car, the party chairman of APC  in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Alhaji Adewuni and Emmanuel Uba, a.k.a Onwa led some hoodlums, members of the community policing Youth Vanguard to attack me and my NSCDC security guard.

Sir, the next thing I did was to call the Area E commander of the Nigerian Police for back up and also informed the state party chairman of the APC,  Otunba Henry Ajomale, Senator Tokubo Afikuyomi, Chief Demola Seriki and Mr. Tayo Ayinde former Chief Detail Officer to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Governor of Lagos State through his Chief Detail, Mr. Gold, and informed them what had happened”.

All efforts to get the reactions of Alhaji Waheed Gbadegeshi Adewuni, Chairman of APC in Amuwo-odofin LGA, who was alleged to have led the attack proved abortive, as both calls and message sent to him were not return.http://thestreetreporters.com/?p=5611
