Imo SAs, Albertiqs Foundation Take #Orange Campaign to Mbano as Ibeme High School Student Wins Cash/Sponsorship Prize

The Special Adviser to President Buhari on NEPAD (New Partnership for Africa’s Development) has teamed up with Imo State Special Adviser on International Cooperation/NEPAD, Imo Diaspora Office and Albertiqs Foundation to deliver an Orange Campaign sensitisation programme in Mbano, Imo State today the 4th of December 2021.
Princess Gloria Akobundu, SA to the President on NEPAD has join hands with Governor Uzodimma’s Office on NEPAD and DIASPORA in Imo State to push even harder on grassroots sensitisation to ‘say no to violence against women’.
Every year, a 16-day of activism is actioned across the globe, starting on November 25th and ending on December 10th.
The 16-day event is known as the ‘Orange Campaign’; a campaign to basically say NO to violence against women and girls.
Never before has so much ado been made about the Orange Campaign in Imo State; a United Nations backed campaign which is targeted at eradicating gender-based Violence by 2040.
SA to Imo Governor on NEPAD, Hon. Doris Tony-Anyanwu and SA on Diaspora Hon. Cllr. Celia Osakwe-Hibbert alongside Albertiqs Foundation were present to deliver a thrilling sensitisation programme to a class full of young girls and a handful of boys.
Jennifer Ohayere a young student of Ibeme High, won a cash prize and sponsorship from the Trio Team who visited the school early hours of Friday morning.
She won for exemplary conduct at the unannounced competition during the Orange Campaign visit.
