Launched in January 2020, the South-East APC Presidency Project 2023 โgrew rapidly to the point where we assembled hundreds of thousands of seasoned and passionate active members from every state of Nigeria plus Abujaโ, the National Coordinator, Dr Chinedu Jideofo-Ogbuagu recalled in a statement.
He added, โBut to sustain this huge advocacy movement requires huge funding and other material support, which we are pleading with wealthy Nigerians of goodwill and conscience to help us with.
โHaving created a massive campaign organisation with the help of the social media, we must now go from geopolitical zone to geopolitical zone, from state to state, from local government area to local government area, from electoral ward to electoral ward, and from polling unit to polling unit.
โAnd what would we achieve by these cross-country movements? In the first instance, we would make it clear to APC that the party needs a 2023 presidential candidate of South-East extraction to win 2023 presidential election.
โIn the second instance, we would cause massive growth in APC membership through millions of supporters of our Project from all states of Nigeria who were not previously APC now joining the party for maximum impact in our Project agenda. We have already attracted numerous new members to APC during the membership registration and revalidation exercise since February 2021.
โAnd you must believe us when we tell you that emergence of Nigeria’s President of South-East extraction enjoys massive support in all six geopolitical zones of our countryโ, he said.
According to the National Coordinator of the group, โThe presidential aspirants of South-East extraction will come out when they will come out, although we know how anxious Nigerians are to see them and start to assess them.
โHowever, and this is to be fair to Nigerians, they should also play a part in identifying viable presidential materials of South-East extraction, as majority of Nigerians settle for the South-East to produce President Buhari’s successor in 2023.
โFor now, the advocacy of South-East APC Presidency Project 2023 must remain that viable and marketable South-Easterners who want to run for 2023 Presidency should do so on APC platform – for quite obvious reasons.
โWe must also abide by the 3 phases of our Project, including the second phase when we shall select the best of the presidential aspirants of South-East extraction.
โThis is a secret that we must now reveal. Most of the South-Easterners who want to contest for Presidency on APC platform in 2023 are not free to come out now.
โSome are holding government or party positions and don’t want to cause distractions to governance. Persons intending to contest and who are free to come out now do not want to be accused of personal or selfish agenda, which the South-East of today will not tolerate.
โSo, if you want to support emergence of President of Nigeria of South-East extraction with money, vehicles, buildings (for campaign offices), computers, Android phone devices, etc, please channel your support to South-East APC Presidency Project 2023 and our collective and disciplined approach to achieving our noble agenda.
โBy the time the many presidential aspirants of South-East extraction come out, and we select the best of them to present to APC and the country for ratification, South-East APC Presidency Project 2023 would have so watered the ground that the chosen aspirant would just harvest about 80% of APC delegates at presidential primary election and over 50 million votes of Nigerians at 2023 general election.
โWe only need your financial and other material support to deliver on our agenda. And we need them now, please. Time is running out. Kindly get in touch with us to discuss your intention to support us. We will meet with you anywhere in Nigeria – even abroadโ, the South-East APC Presidency Project 2023 national coordinator.
