The impactful leadership of the Medical Director, Prof. Saad Ahmed has brought yet another huge recognition to him and the hospital last Monday by the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria (JACCSON).
During a courtesy call paid to the Medical Director, the JACCSON presented him with an award.
During the ceremony, the National Coordinator, JACCSON, Mr. Isaac Ikpa gave the opening remarks stating that the Joint Action Coalition of Civil Society Organisation in Nigeria (JACCSON) comprises of five civil societies in Nigeria which include: the Centre for Social Justice Equity and Transparency, (CESJET); The Save Humanity Advocacy Centre (SHAC); The Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN); Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative (TADI); and Stand-Up Nigeria (SUN).
He disclosed that they have closely watched the tremendous Improvement in FMC, Abuja under the leadership of Prof. Saad Ahmed in the area of service delivery, research and development, availability of modern equipment, staff-patient relationships, a relaxed and welcoming ambience.
The peak of the event was when the hospital was awarded the best tertiary healthcare centre in North Central, Nigeria.
The Medical Director appreciated the awarder and he stated that the recognition is the effort of the staff who are dedicated and have contributed to the growth and development of the hospital.
He added that the award received is a call on the entire staff and himself to put more effort into our work. He dedicated the award to the Staff and Management of the FMC, Abuja.
The Head of Nursing, Matron Yakubu and Head of Administration, Alhaji Sanni Ibrahim gave the closing remarks while the Head of Laboratory, Mr Ezekwesili gave the vote of thanks.
The organisation heartily congratulated the Medical Director and the entire staff of FMC Abuja upon the recognition.
