Copa America winner, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and others have been ranked amongst the contestants for the ballon D’or Award for 2021 season.

The award which was scraped out last year due to the global pandemic will surely return this year in December or January.

Although many were displeased with the decision as it denied Robert Lewandolski of Bayern Munich and Ciro Immobile of Lazio the chance to win the award.

Six times Ballon D’or winner, Lionel Messi, will battle out with Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo who has won the award for
five times.
