There is a power given, in Greek, exousia, authority in English, used in Luke 10:19 (KJV): “Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the powers of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Take note of the purpose, “to TREAD”, so to say, it is an empowerment for a mobile mission. Equipment for His “go ye”! It is not for those who want to stay in their comfort zone.
There is the power received, ‘dunamis’, from the word dynamite, an explosion having the capacity to break the hardest of things.
Acts 1:8 (KJV):
“But ye shall receive POWER , after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
The mystery of grace chose to keep things of value to God in people.
Exousia and Dunamis are of value to God he chose you to be His earthly vault for heaven’s treasures. To be the administrator of His authority and carrier of his explosives to break whatever He wants broken.
John 1:12 (KJV):
“But as many as received him, to them gave he POWER to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
To those who received Him he gave power (authority) to be sons of God with him, but the second power, dunamis was waited for by those who were already given authority.
Your sonship may not be in doubt, but have you received POWER, AFTER the Holy Ghost came upon you?
If you have no power to match your sonship ordination, please, go back to the upper room, for the complete promise of God, he never promises the Holy Ghost without power.
Luke 3:16 (KJV):
“John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.”
John testified of Him, saying; “He will baptize with the Holy Ghost and POWER!!! .
There is a caution, as it is commonly said, “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. This saying is very true any where there is power. If you are therefore a carrier of the power of God ; healing the sick and raising the dead, please, be humble in power.
2Cor 4:7 (KJV):
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
Let the excellency of THE Power be of God and not of you!
A shift is in the atmosphere towards a new generation of believers, vessels of men, women and young people who will understand the balance of authority and power, they will find no comfort in comfortability, ever ready to pay the price to have the purpose accomplished, treading down serpents and scorpions to take territories for Christ.
