Below is the full text of the acceptance speech by Hon. Itiako Ikpokpo, ( KSM ) on his appointment as the Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council for Isoko South Constituency 1 By-election scheduled for September 11 , 2021 in Delta State.

Note of Acceptance!

The Isoko South leadership of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Sunday 29th August, inaugurated the Party’s Campaign Council for the September 11 Isoko South Constituency I by-election wherein I was appointed to serve as the Director-General of the Council. 

I accept my nomination in utmost good faith and in deference to my standing committment and loyalty to our party, the PDP.

As a Campaign Council, my colleagues and I are committed to galvanising the support and commitment of all stakeholders, interests and opinions within our party towards a people and issue-based campaign aimed at securing an overwhelming victory for our party come September 11.

Our party’s candidate, Hon. Ovuakpoye Evivie is doubtlessly the candidate to beat with more than the requisite qualifications, temperament, reach and acceptance.

As Councillor and Supervisor For Health,( Caretaker Committee), June 2003- December 2003, and elected Councillor, 2003-2006, he is the most experienced on issues of law making and parliamentary procedures.

I call on our brothers and sisters in other political parties and their candidates in the forthcoming polls to keep the campaign clean and issue based, and to ensure a credible and transparent electioneering process devoid of extreme rancour and tension.

I am confident that come September 11, the people of Isoko South Constituency 1 will again through the ballot re-enact their confidence and support for the PDP.
