An Abuja Federal High Court presided over by Hon. Justice I. E. Ekwo has today, December 21, thrown out as “frivolous and incompetent” a law suit falsely filed by one Mohammed Abubakar in the name of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), and supported by one Hon. Abdullahi Shuaibu Maje, the embattled Chairman of Suleja Local Government Area and self proclaimed Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman of ALGON – a body completely alien to ALGON’s Constitution.

By this development, the present leadership of the Association led by its National President, Hon. Alabi Kolade David, who is currently serving his second term as Council Chairman in Lagos and as ALGON National President through the instrumentality of democratic processes involving Local Governments and Area Councils across the country, has remained sacrosanct.

The Street Reporters Newspaper recall that the said Abdullahi Maje had recently led thugs to forcefully take over ALGON National Headquarters Abuja but the move was foiled by security operatives who responded appropriately.
