GOVERNMENT JOB VACANCIES

Delta State Government has announced government job vacancies as it commences recruitment of graduate teachers for specific subject areas for Secondary Schools in the State through the state Post Primary Education Board.

The general public is hereby informed that the Delta State Government is recruiting graduate teachers for specific subject areas for Secondary Schools in the State. The subject areas, requirements and method of application are stated below:

SUBJECT AREAS/REQUIREMENTS

Interested Candidates must meet the requirements below:

1. Agricultural Science
   B.Ed./B.Sc. Ed. (Agricultural Science)
2. Basic Science
   B.Ed./B.Sc. Ed. (Science Education/Integrated Science)
3. Basic Technology
   B.Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. (Technical or Industrial Education), B.Eng./B.Tech./ HND (Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering).
4. Biology
   B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed (Biology); B.Sc. Biology with teaching qualification.
5. Chemistry
   B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed (Chemistry); B.Sc. Chemistry with teaching qualification.
6. Economics
   B.Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. (Economics); B.Sc. Economics & Statistics with teaching qualification.
7. English Language
   B.Ed. /B.A.Ed. (English Language OR English and Literature);
   B.A. (English Language OR English and Literature) with teaching qualification.
8. Further Mathematics
   B.Sc. Mathematics, Industrial Mathematics, Pure & Applied Mathematics.
   B.Eng./B.Tech./HND (Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering).
9. Geography
   B.Ed./B.Sc. Ed. (Geography); B.Sc. (Geography & Regional Planning) with teaching qualification.
10. Information Technology
    B.Ed. /B.Sc. Ed/B.Sc./HND (Computer Science/Computer Education/Computer Engineering/Information Technology.
11. Mathematics
    B.Ed. /B.Sc. Ed. (Mathematics); B.Sc. (Mathematics), with teaching qualification.
12. Physics
    B.Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. (Physics); B.Sc. (Physics) with teaching qualification.
13. Guidance and Counseling
    B.Ed. /B.Sc. Ed. (Guidance & Counseling); B.Sc. (Counseling Psychology).

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants are to apply online. The application window is open from January 31 to midnight of February 13, 2022.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Applications are to be completed online and free of charge at Ministry of Secondary Educations portal: http://jobs.deltastatemobse.net.

Applicants are required to scan and upload the following documents:
i.) A clear and recent passport photograph

ii.) All academic/professional certificates relevant to the application including First School Leaving Certificate; WASSC/SSC, Degrees, other relevant professional certificates.

iii.) NYSC Certificate – Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificates.

iv.) Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age duly certified by National Population Commission.

v.) Certificate of Local Government of Origin.

vi.) Valid means of identification (preferably National Identity Card).

Shortlisted candidates will be notified by SMS and email and invited for a Computer Based Test (CBT)

Only candidates who are successful in the CBT will be invited for Oral Interview/Microteaching Practicum.

NOTES

(a) Applicants must not be older than 40 years of age

(b) All applicants are advised to supply functional phone numbers AND email addresses.

(c) TRCN Induction/Registration and License are added advantage.

(d) Applicants with Age Declaration must obtain Certification from the National Population Commission.

(e) Persons with Third (3rd) class and Pass in degree or equivalent certificate need not apply

(f) Applicants are to apply for subject, relevant to their area of specialization as advertised.

(g) Successful Candidates would be expected to serve in RURAL/RIVERINE SCHOOLS for a mandatory period of five (5) years in the first instance. It is therefore advisable that only those prepared to serve within such locations need apply.
